Just Announced: Google Tag Manager

Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes

Just minutes ago, Laura Holmes, Product Manager from Google, made an announcement about Google Tag Manager (GTM) at the eMetrics Summit in Boston. This new product will help marketers manage their tags and collect better data. In fact, just a few days ago I wrote a blog post about the advantages of tag management, and listed a number of vendors. Well, now there is a new product on the market, and it is completely FREE.

I can’t say that this is a complete surprise for us. As a Google Analytics Certified Partner, we have known about this development from Google. As the matter of fact, we are one of the few companies who are GTM Specialists. Within a few days, we will add another blog post with a detailed overview of how GTM functions.

As the news starts to spread and companies become eager to organize all of their tags using GTM, they will have to be able to easily and quickly locate all the existing tags on their site. To expedite this process, we are launching a new tool – Tag Inspector. Our tool will save you countless hours of searching your website for tags buried in the code! Our Tag Inspector will generate a report listing exact tag locations of tags on your site so you can easily move tags into GTM or any other tag management system. Fast. Easy. Painless. Delivered in Excel format straight to your inbox, InfoTrust Tag Inspector makes it easy for marketers to find what they need. The product is currently in Beta, and we are working hard on adding support for more marketing tags and improving Tag Inspector’s performance. Give it a try, and let us know what you think.

We are very excited about Google’s announcement, and can’t wait to start using Google Tag Manager with our clients. If you are trying to understand how Google Tag Manager might help your organization, drop us a line at info@infotrustllc.com, we would love to help.
