Indiana Wesleyan University – Seminar on Social Media Marketing

This event covers the social media measurement landscape and provides both qualitative and quantitative metrics for measuring social web initiatives. It is one of the most comprehensive events on calculating social media ROI offered in Cincinnati today. Using traditional measurement concepts like page views is no longer sufficient. In this seminar, we will distinguish between measures of success and ROI, and will focus on how to develop metrics that correlate with your strategy and goals.

Key Points:

Measuring a successful web initiative is no longer centered on page views, clicks, or impressions. Connected people are using new online channels to find, filter, and consume content and to engage in critical exchanges of and conversations about information.  Today’s content, distributed extensively across vastly fragmented media environments, requires new approaches to measuring the success and ROI of web-based initiatives.

Job Search Learning Lab – Seminar on Networking ROI

Online social networking matters, and we all know this. Now, let’s figure out how to make it work. This presentation will focus on 8 social situations that we find ourselves in; attend this class to learn how to use social media and social networking in the following scenarios:

  2. Following-up after events
  3. Managing a contact list
  4. Sending introductory emails
  5. Keeping in touch with people
  6. Contacting recruiters
  7. Connecting with employers
  8. Participating in online discussions

This class is not a traditional program on social networking that tells you how to use LinkedIn, Plaxo and/or Facebook. This event will look at popular situations that people in transition find themselves in, and how to make the most of these situations using social media. This is the most unconventional program on social media and job search that we are offering today, and by the way – IT IS FREE.

Michael possesses an excellent command of the complex intricacies of all forms of social media. Better yet, he shares his knowledge with professionals in transition, showing them how they can leverage key social media types to create personal brands and find hidden jobs.

The New Way to Search for Jobs

Traditional job-posting sites lose their effectiveness as fewer companies post jobs there, and more people are applying for the same jobs. We will examine other less known, but still immensely powerful sites and boards that will help you locate a job.

Have you considered examining social networks and popular social sites like Twitter? Dozens of jobs are being posted on those sites every week, and hiring managers pay close attention to people who respond to their posts. Most importantly, we will focus on online job search strategy.
